Climate Atlas Indigenous Knowledges Content Launch

I write to invite you to an event that we’re holding next week (March 15th, 1PM Eastern, 12PM Central, and 10AM Pacific) where we’re going to launch a significant amount of Indigenous knowledges and climate change data and resources on the Climate Atlas (www.climateatlas.ca). This project is in partnership with the Assembly of First Nations, Métis National Council, and numerous Indigenous collaborators. Special guests at the event include:

Silla Watt-Cloutier: Inuk climate change advocate, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, and author of The Right to be Cold

Kluane Adamek: Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Yukon Regional Chief

Cassidy Caron: President of the Métis National Council (MNC)

Literally, this has been years in the making, following the guidance of Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Leaders. The launch will include a new series of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis short climate change documentaries, interactive climate data for all 634 First Nations and 53 Inuit communities, and climate projects across the Métis homeland.

It would be great if you can attend and let others who might be interested know about this event. The registration is available here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/climate-atlas-indigenous-knowledges-content-launch-tickets-229019482437
